A stunning Victorian antique tilt top dining table with a quarter sawn burr walnut top. The table stands on a central pedestal base which is intricately carved. Standing on four cabriole legs with complimentary carving leading to the scroll feet and castors. The top is secured to the base by way of two heavy duty coach bolts which also provide the pivot for the tilt mechanism. There is a latch located on the underside of the table which releases the top allowing it to be tilted, then pushed against a wall in order to provide space when not in use.
In very good condition. The til mechanism works perfectly. The top does have some historical wear as would be expected from an item of this age.
