A Victorian antique mahogany two piece chest of drawers.
This is quite an unusual piece of furniture given its smaller dimensions. The top section comprises of three drawers and sits inside the lower base section which contains a single deeper drawer. All drawers are traditionally dovetailed and have Georgian style brass drawer handles and plates.
The chest shows a split mahogany veneer top with split veneers to the drawer fronts with crossbanding. The chest stands on small cabriole legs and pad feet.
This is a previously used item of furniture and as such should be expected to show some light use. Please study the pictures carefully to ascertain condition and feel free to ask any questions.
This item is on display in our showroom in Colchester, Essex if you prefer to view in person prior to purchase.

As can be seen in the pictures there are some surface marks and scratches. The underside of the chest shows historical inactive woodworm which has been filled on the exterior surfaces around the base of the chest. There are some chips to the crossbanding on the drawer fronts.
