An oak two door combination wardrobe by renowned funriture makers 'Maple & Co.' circa 1920's. The wardrobe features two mirrored doors with bevelled edge. The left hand door is full length and opens to reveal a hanging rail with runner hooks and hooks to the back. The right hand door opens to reveal three shelves. The doors have heavy, gothic style hinges and somewhat unusual door handles and plates. The right hand door carries the original makers badge. Below the right hand door there are two graduated drawers made with traditional dovetails and complimentary drawer pulls and back plates. The wardorbe stands on a shaped bracket base with square feet.
This wardrobe dismantles into two main sections (and then top and base) for ease of transport and access into modern homes.
This is an antique item of furniture and should be expected to show some age. There are various marks and blemishes, especially where the doors have rubbed the finish away. Otherwise the wardrobe is solid with no movement in the joinery. There are some chips and damage to the cornice...
