An early Victorian chest of drawers with turned handles. With two over three traditionally dovetailed and graduated drawers. The bottom drawer runs all the way to the floor and incorporates the plinth base as a drawer front.
This is an antique item of furniture that will show wear commensurate to age such as various historical knocks and dinks. There is a section of beading missing from the left side of one drawer. The left side panel is split although structurally sound. The moulded corner on the top right has come loose. Otherwise the frame is solid and the drawers run smoothly. There are some pale marks to the base of the left hand side, a pair of dents to the right hand panel and a chipped drawer front (all included in the pictures supplied).
