An antique drop leaf dining table standing on finely turned barley twist legs. Likely made around 1920. The table shows a stunning oak grain which has been finished with lacquer. The drop leaves simply lift into position and automatically lock into position by way of a metal extending arm which is released by a latch when ready to put away. The table stands on beautifully turned barley twist legs which are in turn joined by stretchers for added strength. The legs terminate in pad feet.
This is an antique item of furniture and will show some age. That said this table is in very good condition with no major marks or scratches to the top. The joinery is solid and shows no signs of movement. There will be the usual scuffs and marks to the feet and stretcher as would be expected from normal use.
